Jevon Terance
Fashion Designer

I independently produced fashion social content from concept through delivery, managing shoots, editing assets, and executing post-production within tight budgets.

I grew up in Lorain, Ohio, a post-industrial lakeside city known for its cultural diversity and strong creative undercurrent, which deeply shaped my perspective and interest in storytelling through visual media. Fashion and content production have always been a passion of mine, and collaborating with Jevon Terance felt especially meaningful because his brand is rooted in the same hometown I grew up in—one I had long associated with downtown creativity and urban influence. Jevon Terance’s work draws inspiration from Lorain’s mix of cultural backgrounds, industrial grit, and the quiet power of Lake Erie, blending these elements into a distinct, expressive fashion identity.

I partnered with the brand on three separate contracted projects: supporting the refinement of brand identity, producing content for a collection release, and capturing and editing short-form video and photography for a live fashion show. Through this work, I helped translate the brand’s cultural foundation and visual language into polished, social-ready content that aligned with both the designer’s vision and the brand’s evolving presence.

1: Brand Identity Storytelling

For this contract, I produced a long-form brand video designed to solidify and clearly communicate Jevon Terance’s brand identity across digital platforms. The video featured Jevon presenting three core categories of his work—Lifestyle, Ready-to-Wear, and Jevon Terance (the designer line)—with each category styled on a model and contextualized through his personal inspirations. By walking viewers through the intent, function, and audience for each category, the narrative reframed the brand as accessible and multifaceted, rather than limited to runway-only designer pieces. Released on both the website and social media, the video served as an educational and storytelling asset that familiarized the local community with the full scope of the brand and reinforced the message that Jevon Terance offers pieces for a wide range of lifestyles and occasions.

For this contract, I independently produced a long-form brand video designed to solidify and clearly communicate Jevon Terance’s brand identity across digital platforms. Working with limited resources and a tight budget, I built and lit a professional set, directed talent, captured and synthesized audio, and edited the final piece using motion graphics and narrative-driven video editing.

2: Runway to Social Ready

For this contract, I shot, edited, and designed short-form social video capturing the live Jevon Terance fashion show staged on Lorain’s Bascule Bridge. The collection drew inspiration from jazz, Italian culture, and the Jordan 18 sneaker, aligning with the brand’s 18-year anniversary and referencing Italian dress influences and Harlem Renaissance–era styling.

My goal was to translate the energy of the live show and the designer’s creative vision into dynamic, social-first content that highlighted both the cultural influences behind the collection and the significance of hosting a second fashion show in Lorain. The final videos emphasized movement, atmosphere, and place—reinforcing Jevon Terance’s commitment to elevating Lorain while showcasing the brand’s identity through fashion and storytelling.

3: Algorithm-Aligned Collection Launch

For this contract, I produced short-form social video content to support the release of Jevon Terance’s Valentine’s Day collection. Jevon styled a group of models in pieces from the collection, and I translated the visuals into platform-native content by pairing the footage with trending audio, TikTok templates, and dynamic text overlays.

The strategy was intentionally designed to align with current platform behaviors, allowing the content to organically surface within the algorithm while maintaining the brand’s visual identity.

The final videos achieved 22% higher engagement than the brand’s average, contributing to increased visibility and a noticeable lift in sales for the collection.
